[Via Satellite 07-31-2015] Globecomm has received an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract from a preexisting customer to upgrade its telecommunications infrastructure. The global multilateral organization previously ordered several hundred fixed terminals and mobile communication trailers. Now the customer is purchasing RF upgrade kits, antennas, complete terminals and associated services, leveraging modernized IP and baseband technology advancements to reduce yearly operational expenses.
The IDIQ contract is for three years with two one-year extension options. The company received the first order under the contract valued at approximately $9.7 million. Globecomm anticipates completing deliveries on this initial delivery order by the company’s fiscal fourth quarter ending June 30, 2016.
