Inmarsat Appoints New Non-Executive Director – Satellite Today

[Via Satellite 01-07-2015] Inmarsat has appointed Robert Ruijter as a non-executive director for the company. Effective Feb. 1, 2015, Ruijter will join the board of directors, where his diverse background in the commercial and financial sectors is expected to bring positive insights.

A certified public accountant in the United States and The Netherlands, Ruijter is currently on the supervisory boards of piping manufacturer Wavin and Ziggo, and is also on the board of Interxion. He chairs the audit committee for both companies. Ruijter is on the supervisory board for Delta Lloyd where he is a member of the audit and risk committees. In 2013 Ruijter was the interim CEO of Vion Food Group, and before that he served as the CFO of electronic components manufacturer ASM International.
