[Via Satellite 10-13-2014] SES has established a regional office dedicated to the Middle East region in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The first employees at the new site are comprised of engineering, sales and business development professionals, with support internationally from other offices.
This year SES also opened the SES Technical Academy in Dubai in March 2014, where knowledge and industry developments are brought from the United States and Europe to Arab customers. SES began operating in the Middle East in 2001; today the company serves the area with nine satellites.
“Across many areas of the Middle East, satellite remains one of the most reliable forms of connectivity — and demand for data connectivity continues to grow,” said Hussein Oteifa, Middle East general manager for SES.
