[Via Satellite 12-08-2014] A large military contractor has purchased Norsat International’s recently launched SigmaLink Auto and Ranger products. According to Norsat, the customer supplies communications solutions to governments and militaries worldwide.
Norsat’s SigmaLink Auto is a product line extension of an existing terminal platform with auto-acquire technology. The terminal can be up and transmitting in less than 15 minutes without the need for operator alignment. Ranger is a self-contained multiband microsat terminal based on technology Norsat gain in 2013 from the acquisition of CVG. Norsat expects to ship the initial order of both products in the first quarter of 2015.
