[Via Satellite 09-15-2014] Onlime has entered an agreement with Gazprom Space Systems (GSS) for capacity on the upcoming Yamal 402 satellite. GSS will provide Ku-band capacity, which will expand Onlime’s coverage across the continent.

Onlime is currently bolstering its presence across Africa through the provision of satellite and fiber based networks, Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), Voice Over IP (VoIP) and wireless solutions.

“The addition of Yamal 402 is part of network strategy to be able to offer seamless coverage across the African continent to address the needs of the market,” said Paul Ziegler, CEO of Onlime.

Dmitry Sevastiyanov, GSS director general said the company intends to further develop its relationship with Onlime throughout markets in Africa and the Middle East.
