[Via Satellite 10-29-2014] Satcom Digital Networks has reached a multi-year agreement with Hispamar, the Brazilian arm of the Hispasat Group, to extend services on the Amazonas 2 spacecraft located at 61 degrees west. Satcom Digital will use capacity on the satellite to serve customers in the United States.

Satcom Digital Networks has been operating on Amazonas 2 for the past year. The additional capacity enables the delivery of more voice and data services through the Digistar VSAT platform. The company is using this platform to connect gas fields in the Northeastern U.S., new markets in the Gulf Coast and other areas of exploration.
